Thank you, NY taxpayers!
I’m sure I can speak for GlobalFoundries and its owners on the jewel of the Persian Gulf, Abu Dhabi, when I say, “Thank You,” to NY taxpayers who are generously contributing $6.8 million to rebuild Cold Springs Road — heretofore unpaved — one of three entrances to the Luther Forest Technology Campus where GlobalFoundries is building its corporate welfare-aided, $4.6 billion computer chip plant. The gift will also cover reconstruction of heretofore unpaved Elmore Robinson and Fitch and Farley Roads for a total of 7 miles.
The announcement appeared in the April 26, 2011, Schenectady Gazette.
Abu Dhabi welcomes tourists … though I understand they’re not exactly crying for cash there.
